How progression works

Yes. Completing matches or playing the singleplayer story mode awards experience across four progression categories: Profile Level, Killer Level, Civilian Level, and Weapon Level.

Increasing these levels unlocks playable Civilian characters, Michael abilities, Civilian starting items, cosmetic rewards, new challenge tiers, executions, and more. Reaching the maximum progression level in any category also enables prestige for additional rewards.

Watch the progression overview for its explanation of the four XP categories and the rewards unlocked by increasing their levels.

What players should do to progress

What activities advance the four Player Progression Levels?
Complete matches or play the singleplayer story mode for XP. You can also pursue automatically tracked Passive Challenges and successive Progressive Challenges tied to Civilian characters, Michael skins, and weapon types to unlock rewards.
How do Perk Points and Civilian Perk Cards work?
Matches supply Perk Points that can be spent on Perk Card rolls. Spending more points increases the chance of higher-rarity cards, while owned cards can be temporarily upgraded and assembled into Perk Decks for Civilian loadouts.
