Roles and objectives in multiplayer gameplay
Multiplayer is a 1v4 asymmetrical experience in which Civilians try to save Haddonfield residents and themselves while Michael Myers stalks and kills his targets.
As Michael Myers, locate, terrorize, and execute residents while pursuing Special Targets for greater rewards before their time expires.
As a Civilian, find fellow Haddonfield residents, convince them of Michael’s threat, and guide them toward one of several randomized escapes.
Lootable containers provide weapons, distractions, and key items that Civilians can use to unlock possible escape routes; item and escape locations change between matches.
The Standard Edition includes ten playable Civilians at launch: Jennifer, Tanya, Rachel, Eric, Marcus, Thomas, Bob, Lynda, Annie, and Laurie.
Beginner gameplay: objectives, danger, and recovery
- Find fellow Haddonfield residents, convince them of Michael’s threat, and guide them while preparing a randomized escape.
- Search lootable containers for weapons, distractions, and key items, then adapt to what you find because item and escape locations change between matches.
- Use the required items to unlock and access one of the possible escape routes, then guide residents toward that escape.
- Expect an initiated escape sequence to create enough noise to alert Michael to your exact location.
- Build progression levels to unlock additional playable Civilians, Michael abilities, Civilian starting items, cosmetics, challenge tiers, and executions.
- If a Civilian dies, the player can still support friends and may return as a Sheriff’s Deputy or Dr. Loomis.
